First of all, it is emphasized that whether it is a home theater system or a HiFi system, when we choose a power amplifier for the speaker, we should not consider the power of the power amplifier based on the rated power of the speaker.

Select the power amplifier power according to the rated power of the speaker. This sentence is only applicable to the field of commercial audio, because in that field, we need to control the budget and integrate various factors to calculate the rated power of the speaker we need, and then based on this The rated power is used to select the power amplifier. But in a home system, what is the basis for us to choose speakers is our own budget, the sound performance of the speaker, and its appearance design, and consumers will not consider how much its rated power is.

For example, the Baohua Weijian 702 floor-standing speaker mentioned above does not mark the rated power, but only a recommended power range of the amplifier, which is 30 to 300 watts. Do you have to choose a power amplifier with a mono-channel power of more than 300 watts? ? Like Baohua Weijian 702 or 705 speakers, they give a power range, which means that the power amplifier we choose, as long as its power is within this range, the speaker can work normally, but how much power is required depends on the power amplifier. It depends on how much volume we need.

With the same pair of speakers, if you just listen to light music or jazz vocals, maybe 30 to 40 watts of power is enough; but if you want to watch commercial blockbusters and like shocking effects, the sound needs to be louder, then you may need a power of more than 100 watts. Power requirements when selecting power amplifiers

Multi-channel simultaneous output

Just now I mentioned the problem of multi-channel simultaneous output. From a practical point of view, multi-channel surround sound movies basically do not output high volumes from all channels at the same time, so for traditional 5.1-channel and 7.1-channel homes For a theater system, as long as we ensure that the total power of the power amplifier is greater than the sum of the power required by the first three channels, we can meet the power requirements of the speakers.

If it is an 11.1-channel panoramic sound system, we only need to ensure that the total power of the power amplifier is greater than the sum of the required power of the 5 channels, and it is basically enough. This is to choose the power amplifier from the perspective of power.

In addition to the difference in the power of the back-stage circuit, the front-stage circuit is also very different.
