CD turntable: A common CD player should be called a "combined" CD player. Its main components are "turntable" + "decoding", and the analog signal is output directly;

There are also separate, so-called "CD transports" and decoders. Standalone CD turntables can only output digital signals.

Digital broadcast: The digital turntable player in HIFI equipment is referred to as "digital turntable". The name comes from the analogy of a CD turntable, and it also needs an external decoder such as a DAC to become a complete audio source.

The (independent) digital player similar to the digital turntable has an analog output. For the convenience of distinction, it is called a "digital turntable".

DAC/Decoding: That is, a digital-to-analog converter, a device that converts digital signals into analog signals. The higher the number of bits in the DAC, the less distortion of the signal. The sound is also clearer and more stable.

Preamp/front stage: It is audio amplification, because generally the input audio signal is very small and cannot directly drive the power amplifier, so a pre-voltage amplifier circuit must be installed to amplify the signal first and then drive the power amplifier.

And because of the diversity of input signals, (the voltage level of various input signals and the level of input impedance and other factors), the preamplifier stage should be set to different magnification ratios according to the strength of the input signal to adapt.

The front stage also has the function of sound quality control, which means that the frequency characteristics of the audio system can be controlled to achieve high-fidelity sound quality; or modify and beautify the sound according to the listener's preferences.

Amp:

The definition of post-stage power amplifier: simple volume amplification requires the amplification and control of the pre-stage. The rear stage is used to amplify the signal from the front stage to the speaker, and the latter stage must be strong enough to push the speaker.

The so-called power does not mean that the louder the louder the more powerful. Must be able to support the big picture of the whole ensemble without losing its details.
