How much do you know about HIFI audio system?
Hi-Fi audio system can be divided into integrated type, package type and combined type in structure. The integrated audio system is to assemble various functional equipment and speakers in a chassis, which cannot be disassembled at will. Such machines are generally low-end popular machines. The packaged audio system is designed by the manufacturer, which is a complete set of various equipments, and each unit can be disassembled. The audio combination is to choose various types of equipment according to personal preferences and make free combinations.
Audio system is mainly composed of auditory system (human ear), hardware system (equipment), software system (signal source) and listening environment.
It refers to the equipment that converts the magnetic signal or digital signal in the audio source software into electrical signal, which mainly includes DVD, S-VCD, VCD, CD, tuner, deck and high-fidelity video recorder.
The power amplifier is mainly to amplify the weaker signal input by the audio source equipment and generate enough current to drive the speaker to reproduce the sound.
The speaker is the mouthpiece of a set of audio equipment. The final sound of the sound source software depends on the speaker. The quality of the playback sound of the audio equipment is completely expressed by the speaker. Therefore, the speaker plays a pivotal role in the audio equipment.
What are the main technical indicators of the audio system?
There are also the main technical indicators of the audio system: frequency characteristics, signal-to-noise ratio, dynamic range, transient response, stereo separation, and stereo balance.
Frequency characteristics: the frequency range (frequency response) of audio equipment playback and the relationship between signal amplitude and frequency (amplitude-frequency characteristics). The unit of amplitude is dB and the unit of frequency is Hz. The frequency response of the audio system should reach at least 32-18000Hz, and the signal amplitude change in this frequency range should be less than 2dB.
Signal-to-noise ratio: The logarithm of the ratio of useful signal to noise at the same reference point. At the input point of the speaker, the signal-to-noise ratio is 70dB, and the noise is almost inaudible when the human ear is one meter away from the speaker. Hi-Fi systems generally reach more than 100dB.
Dynamic range: The logarithm of the ratio of the maximum undistorted output power when the audio equipment is playing back to the system noise output power when it is static. Hi-Fi systems generally reach more than 100dB.
Distortion: The degree of distortion of the audio signal when the audio equipment is playing back. There are harmonic distortion, intermodulation distortion, transient distortion. The harmonic distortion of Hi-Fi systems is generally less than 1%.
Stereo Separation: The separation of the left and right channels. Reflects the degree of crosstalk between the left and right channels.
Stereo balance: The difference between the signal gain of the left and right channels.

The pros and cons of active vs passive speakers. Many people like active speakers, but they may not really understand the pros and cons of passive and active speakers. They just heard that active speakers are better, which may bring a lot of trouble to their future use. It
The vinyl resurgence has moved beyond a niche hobby into a mainstream cultural phenomenon. In 2026, as more music enthusiasts and B2B hospitality clients look to integrate the warm, analog sound of vinyl into their spaces, a common technical question arises: does the turntable itself produce audible
